About Verdante

Verdanté is the evolution of our well-known Aidoru brand in the Australian and New Zealand marketplace. It seeks to leverage this foundation of simple, affordable and reliable mounting solutions while transitioning towards 100% recyclable packaging by supporting and contributing to Australia’s pursuit of sustainable packaging goals. As a simple twist on the word “verdant”, we hope the brand will be aligned with a lush, green future, promoting environmental sustainability and responsible consumer practices.

Australia’s Green Packaging Strategy

Westan Australia has been a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) since its 2018 establishment date. We fully support efforts by our government to achieve Australia’s 2025 National Packaging Targets. The Verdanté brand is one of the ways we are attempting to do our part to bring the nation into accord with these targets. The 4 targets to be achieved by 2025 are:  100% of packaging being reusable, recyclable or compostable  70% of plastic packaging being recycled or composted  50% average recycled content included in packaging  The phase out of problematic and unnecessary single-use plastic packaging.

Verdanté’s Sustainable Packaging Initiatives

The revamped Verdanté brand combines the simplicity and reliability of the Aidoru solution and invests it with an eco-friendly agenda. Each Verdanté product:  Eliminates the use of all types of plastics and polystyrene in packaging, which are non-biodegradable and harmful to the environment in the long term.  Features sustainable packaging made at least in part from recycled materials.  Is comprised of primarily paper and cardboard packaging materials, which are recyclable and renewable. In most cases, 100% of the packaging is renewable.  Eliminates all hazardous materials found in packaging production.
