The NAP 500 DR power amplifier is a remarkable showcase of Naim Audio amplifier technology, which was perfected over a period of six years. Pace, Rhythm, And Timing
The NAP 500 features the NA009 output transistors specifically designed for the Statement system, as well as Naim Audio DR technology. These, along with other minor enhancements, allow the NAP 500 to provide an even greater musical pace, rhythm, and timing.
140 Watts Per Channel
The NAP 500 delivers 140W per channel and can output to 2 ohms without any performance impact. The circuit topology has been developed to maximise bandwidth and reduce distortion and power supply dependency. A bridged configuration allows for maximised open and closed-loop speed, with 10 stages of local regulation per channel.
Discrete Regulator Technology
Each channel of the NAP 500 includes ten stages of local regulation, while the partnering 500 PS provides twelve raw D.C. supplies for the power amplifier.
Dual Box Configuration
To reduce interference from the mains supply further, the transformer and first stages of the power supply are in a separate enclosure, the NAP 500 DR, which provides twelve raw D.C. supplies for the power amplifier.
Advanced Circuit Topology
The NAP 500 DR circuit topology has been developed to maximise bandwidth and reduce distortion, plus power supply dependency. Also, special attention has been paid to reducing thermally-induced noise, an especially important consideration in power amplifiers.
