6th Generation
The new version of the NAP 250 is the sixth generation model, delivering more power than ever. Its ultra-modern technology provides unrivalled performance and system flexibility. Elegant Engineering
Naim's highly skilled engineers have created circuits that are both simple and elegant, perfectly complemented by their renowned DR (Discrete Regulator) technology. This combination guarantees a stable and smooth power supply, leading to exceptional performance.
Only The Finest Components
Naim's engineering team use only the best-quality components, including Statement's NA009 power transistors, and employs ultra-precise measurements to guarantee an uncompromising result. In-fact, eight NA009 custom designed power transistors (as developed for Statement) are allocated, 4 for the PSU's and 4 for the output stages - each mounted on ceramic insulators for ultra low capacitive coupling.
Svelte Design
At Naim, they believe their products should be both contemporary and timeless. They avoid adding unnecessary decorations that don't contribute to performance or sound quality. The design itself keeps the NAP 250 cool even at high sound levels, thanks to the responsive heat sink. NAP 250 has symmetrical XLR connections, while the eddy current divider is situated between speaker output terminals for improved sound quality, plus Naim's DR tech is employed for stable, fluid supply of power and exceptional performance.
Aluminium
Naim's founder, Julian Vereker, understood the benefits of using thick plates of aluminium to wrap electronic components. This decision helped to minimise the negative effects of magnetic fields, unstable temperatures, and vibrations.
Perfect Pairing
For the optimal performance of your loudspeakers and music, the ideal combination is the NAP 250 and NSC 222 preamplifier / streamer. The NAP 250 can be easily connected to any of the New Classic products, as well as the previous Classic lines (via the legacy range of cabling).
Clever Connectivity
Featuring true balanced XLR inputs, the NAP 250 utilises newly developed, ultra-fast-low-noise single-ended class-A buffers. Plus there are remote in / out jacks to control legacy systems.
Constant Current Source
The NAP 250 offers new triple transistor, Constant Current Source (CCS) in the delicate gain stage. This newly developed CCS improves sound quality.
Clever Power Up
The team at Naim have developed a soft-start power up sequence. This approach prevents the large toroidal transformers from tripping the mains circuit breaker in your home due to the large influx of voltage required.
