The marine environment is unforgiving. Any equipment has to survive extremes of temperature, salt spray and housing down. It's little wonder then that most speakers designed for marine applications sacrifice sound quality for ruggedness.
IP66 Rating
When correctly installed, Marine 8 is IP66 rated. The metal grille plus screws are marine-grade stainless steel, the driver chassis uses a non-corroding rigid polymer and the tweeter dome has a rear support to prevent deformation when hosed down.
6 Inch Mid Bass Driver
Marine 8 has a 200mm Polypropylene mid / bass driver to deliver dynamic midst and the deepest, powerful bass in the Bowers & Wilkins range of Marine speakers.
1 Inch Tweeter
A 25mm soft dome tweeter takes care of the high-end detail, delivering true-to-life tops, while not distracting from the music.
Indoors Or Out
Whether under a soffit near the coast, or on a boat you love to pilot on the weekends, Marine 8 is a speaker that can be installed in all environments.
