The Bowers & Wilkins HTM81 D5 is the ultimate centre channel speaker in the 800 Series Diamond range, designed to partner the 801 and 802 D5 floor standers in the most demanding home cinema systems. It carries the weight of every film soundtrack with the same extraordinary precision and power as the speakers beside it.
Matched To The 801 And 802 D5
The HTM81 D5 shares the same drive unit sizes as the 802 D5 floor stander, with a 6-inch Continuum™ cone FST™ midrange and twin 8-inch Aerofoil™ bass drivers flanking the Diamond dome tweeter. This ensures a seamless tonal match when sounds move across the front soundstage, with no discernible difference in character between the left, centre and right channels.
Dialogue Reproduced With Total Clarity
As the channel responsible for the majority of on-screen dialogue, the HTM81 D5 must reproduce the human voice with complete accuracy and naturalness. The Continuum™ cone FST™ midrange driver, developed specifically by Bowers & Wilkins, ensures every spoken word is rendered with lifelike detail and without a trace of colouration or smearing.
Power And Precision In Equal Measure
With a recommended amplifier power of up to 500W, the HTM81 D5 is built to handle the full dynamic range of modern film soundtracks without compression or strain. Whether it is a whispered exchange or an explosive action sequence, the HTM81 D5 responds with the same composure and control.
Refined For The D5 Generation
Every element of the HTM81 D5 has been refined for the D5 generation. An upgraded Matrix™ bracing design reduces cabinet resonance, while Biomimetic Suspension, Anti-Resonance plug technology and Flowport further lower distortion and improve the accuracy and naturalness of the sound at all listening levels.
Available In Two Finishes
The HTM81 D5 is available in Stealth Black and Warm White, each complemented by premium Leather by Connolly trim. The matching FS-HTM dedicated stand is available separately in Black or Warm Titanium for an elegant, purpose-built installation.
