Powerful, Precise Bass From A Compact Cabinet
The Bowers & Wilkins DB2D delivers the deep, controlled bass performance that the DB Series is renowned for, in a more compact cabinet that makes it easier to integrate into a wider range of rooms and systems. Twin 10-inch Aerofoil™ bass drivers in a balanced configuration produce bass that is powerful, precise and free from the unwanted resonance that can undermine the quality of lesser subwoofers.
Balanced Dual Driver Configuration
Two 250mm Aerofoil™ bass drivers face each other in a force-cancelling balanced configuration, so that the energy they generate is contained within the cabinet rather than transmitted into the floor or surrounding structure. The result is exceptionally clean, tight and articulate bass, with none of the mechanical noise or vibration that single-driver designs can suffer from.
Digital Preamplifier With Dynamic EQ
The DB2D features the same sophisticated digital preamplifier and Dynamic EQ system as the flagship DB1D. The Dynamic EQ automatically adjusts the frequency response at different volume levels, ensuring the DB2D sounds natural and balanced whether you are listening at low levels late at night or at full volume during a film.
App-Based Setup And BT-LE Control
Setup and control is handled through the dedicated Bowers & Wilkins app via Bluetooth Low Energy, making it straightforward to configure level, crossover, EQ and room correction settings from your phone or tablet. The DB2D integrates cleanly into any stereo or multichannel system.
Versatile Connectivity
The DB2D offers a full suite of inputs including balanced XLR, RCA phono, 3.5mm 12V trigger and RS-232 9-pin D connector, ensuring seamless integration with both simple stereo setups and complex custom installation systems.
Available In Two Finishes
The DB2D is available in Stealth Black and Warm White, allowing it to complement the 800 Series Diamond D5 speakers and sit naturally in any listening environment.
