The Bowers & Wilkins DB1D is the most capable subwoofer in the DB Series range. With twin 12-inch Aerofoil™ bass drivers operating in a balanced configuration, it delivers deep, powerful and exceptionally controlled bass that is as at home in a reference stereo system as it is anchoring a home cinema surround sound setup.
Twin Aerofoil™ Drivers In A Balanced Configuration
Two 300mm Aerofoil™ bass drivers face each other in a force-cancelling balanced configuration, meaning vibration is controlled internally rather than transmitted into the floor or surrounding furniture. The result is bass that is tight, deep and precise, free from the cabinet resonance or structural vibration that can blur the low-frequency performance of lesser subwoofers.
Digital Preamplifier With Dynamic EQ
The DB1D is equipped with a sophisticated digital preamplifier featuring Dynamic EQ, which automatically adjusts the frequency response at different volume levels to maintain a natural and balanced sound at all times. Whether you are listening late at night at low levels or playing at full volume, the DB1D always sounds natural and in control.
App-Based Setup And BT-LE Control
Setup and control of the DB1D is handled via the dedicated Bowers & Wilkins app, using Bluetooth Low Energy for a simple and reliable wireless connection. Room calibration, level matching, crossover adjustment and EQ settings can all be managed from your phone or tablet, making it straightforward to dial in the perfect bass performance for your room.
Versatile Connectivity
The DB1D offers a comprehensive set of inputs to suit any system, including balanced XLR, RCA phono, 3.5mm 12V trigger inputs and an RS-232 9-pin D connector for custom installation and control system integration. It integrates effortlessly with both stereo and multichannel systems of any complexity.

The DB1D is available in Stealth Black and Warm White, allowing it to complement the 800 Series Diamond D5 speakers and blend seamlessly into any listening environment.
