At the heart of the 804 D5 are the same Diamond dome tweeter and Continuum™ cone FST™ midrange driver found in its larger siblings. The Diamond dome pushes break-up frequency to an extraordinary 70kHz, delivering exceptional openness and clarity. The Continuum™ cone reproduces voices and instruments with the lifelike accuracy that has made the 800 Series the reference of choice in studios around the world.
Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top
The 804 D5 features the iconic Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top design , the same approach used across the entire 800 Series Diamond range. By housing the tweeter in its own acoustically isolated enclosure above the main cabinet, it eliminates interference from the midrange and bass drivers, ensuring the high frequencies are reproduced with exceptional purity and precision.
Aerofoil™ Bass For Precise Low Frequencies
Twin 6.5-inch Aerofoil™ bass drivers deliver controlled and accurate low-frequency performance down to 20Hz. The Aerofoil™ cone profile is specifically engineered to be stiff where it needs to be and compliant where it doesn't , resulting in bass that is tight, detailed and effortlessly musical rather than bloated or overblown.
Refined For The D5 Generation
The 804 D5 benefits from the same generation-defining refinements applied across the entire 800 Series Diamond D5 range. An upgraded Matrix™ bracing design reduces cabinet resonance, while Aluminium Space Frame Bracing and a new aluminium top section work together to create a more spacious, enveloping and precisely focused soundstage.
